Coach Spotlight: Meet Transformational Coach Elizabeth Sabet
Elizabeth Sabet is a seasoned coach specializing in developmental success, spiritual integration, and conscious business consultation. With a heart-centered approach, she guides clients through personal and professional transformation.
Elizabeth Sabet is a seasoned coach with a passion for empowering individuals to reach their full potential. Her journey began with parent coaching in daycares, and she has since evolved into a specialist in Developmental Success, Spiritual Integration, and Conscious Business Consultation. With certifications from renowned institutions like the International Coaching Academy, Elizabeth combines a transpersonal approach with practical tools to help clients overcome limiting beliefs and achieve their goals.
What initially drew you to coaching, and how has your own personal journey shaped your approach as a coach?
I began parent coaching in my daycares in 1994. When I left the childcare industry, I transitioned to full-time coaching. Parent coaching filled my soul more than anything I had done before, and I knew that supporting people in achieving their heart’s desires was my life’s work.
Do you have an established coaching practice / business and what is it called? Do you have a coaching niche that you specialize in? What is your website?
Yes, I have an established coaching practice. I specialize in Developmental Success Coaching, Spiritual Integration Coaching, and Conscious Business Consultation. www.elizabethjsabet.com
Did you get certified /accredited by any coach training schools / institutions? If so, which one(s) and what attracted you to their program / accreditation?
I went to the International Coaching Academy in Australia, Clear Belief Coaching Training, and Master Coach Training. I loved the comprehensiveness of the programs at ICA. The Clear Belief program fits my transpersonal approach, and I am working on filing for my MCC at ICF and need the master's training and supervision.
How did you set up your coaching practice and what challenges / wins have you encountered in the process? Any tips for new coaches just starting out to get their business registered?
I was fortunate to be a leader in a large local community, which allowed me to develop trusted relationships with many people before starting my practice (many years before the pandemic). Most of my initial clients were local or from my state. People referred me to friends and family in other locations, and my practice grew exponentially.
During the pandemic, I focused more on outreach efforts. My advice to new coaches is to serve your field in some way. Connect with your target audience by offering free talks, creating videos, and starting a YouTube channel. Develop free resources and guides to build your email database and send out at least one newsletter a month, along with weekly tips and blog posts, to consistently provide value.
What online tools / applications / platforms do you use to help you stay focused and streamlined in managing your practice, especially if you’re a solo / small business owner without a big budget for expenses?
I use Google Drive and CoachVantage, of course, which is the best and my most favorite coaching platform I have ever used!
How do you typically acquire clients / market yourself to grow your business? What has worked best for you and what pitfalls should be avoided?
Most of my clients have come from word-of-mouth referrals, speaking engagements, and service work within my industry. I recently started using Google Ads, but I haven't seen significant results yet and may need to increase my advertising budget to see a better return on investment.
What's the most transformative shift you've witnessed in a client thanks to your coaching? Can you share the specific approach or tools you used? For eg, do you use any coaching models or specific techniques?
The most transformative shift I witnessed was in a man who struggled to balance his familial obligations with his desire to build his own business and develop his expertise. His business wasn't generating enough income to support his family, so he took a construction job, but it was draining his soul. We worked together using transformational and transpersonal techniques to address the root of his identity issues, which were hindering his business success.
Here's his review: "It's hard to encapsulate the significance of my work with Elizabeth in a short review. My life, work, time, and self-expression are now all interconnected. The true part of me has always been there, but it was buried under immense pressure and pain. I reached a point where I could no longer ignore or override it. Embracing honesty was a powerful process, and I needed strong guidance to navigate it. Elizabeth helped me walk that path. I am deeply humbled and forever grateful for this opportunity to experience such a foundational transformation."
Describe a moment where you encountered a coaching roadblock with a client. How did you navigate it, and what lessons did you learn for future situations?
My most challenging clients have been women who wanted to make significant career or life changes but faced unsupportive or disinterested partners. This often led to self-doubt, indecision, and resentment, which eroded their relationships. Many of these partners refused marriage therapy, leaving the women feeling helpless.
To help these clients, I focused on identifying their core values and coaching them to have curious, open-ended conversations with their partners about values, hopes, dreams, and desires. This often led to increased understanding between the partners. Many couples eventually sought marriage therapy as we worked together to empower the women to define their goals and aspirations. We then created action plans that they could communicate and negotiate with their partners without compromising their needs or resorting to silence.
By empowering women to communicate their truth and values, we fostered healthy, empowered dialogue. Through this process, I learned that the fear of disapproval is a powerful force that can prevent women from pursuing their goals and dreams. Fear can stifle creativity and hinder personal growth.

What are some common limiting beliefs you encounter in your clients, and how do you help them overcome them?
Many people struggle to achieve their goals because they lack self-belief. This often stems from underdeveloped self-identity during childhood and young adulthood. To help them, I address their subconscious beliefs and help them build habits that align with their desired identity. I also guide them in connecting with their Higher Self or Inner Teacher to gain clarity and honesty about their true selves.
How do you maintain your own self-care and emotional well-being while supporting others through theirs?
I schedule my time off 2 years in advance. Every month that has 5 weeks, I take that 5th week as a vacation or a work retreat to write and do batch work. I take off all holidays and schedule at least one fun activity with friends or family every week.
Fun question… If a magic genie suddenly appeared in front of you and granted 3 wishes, what would you wish for to have a fulfilling career as a coach?
I'm incredibly satisfied and grateful for my thriving one-on-one coaching practice. I also have exciting aspirations for the future -- my new group program, launching in January, aims to attract 50-75 participants in the large group and 15-20 in the smaller, more intimate setting. Additionally, I'd love to expand my reach by attracting more conscious business coaching and consulting clients. Finally, I hope to welcome 20 students to the longer coach certification program at my coaching institute, ITTC - The Institute for Transformational and Transpersonal Coaching (www.ittccoachtraining.com).
This is your blank canvas for you to write about anything you want to share that’s helped you in your coaching journey, how to be a more effective coach, etc. Feel free to tell your story to inspire our coaching community!
My journey as a coach has taught me that our most powerful tool is not a specific technique or methodology, but rather our ability to be fully present. When we truly show up for our clients, creating a space of unconditional acceptance and genuine curiosity, we witness remarkable transformations.
Beyond the essential foundations of continuing education and professional supervision, I've discovered that the art of presence is the key to creating breakthrough moments. It's about holding a space of clarity and compassion where clients feel safe to explore their deepest truths and boldest dreams.
This presence demands continuous self-awareness. As coaches, we must understand the subtle dynamics of transference and countertransference, maintaining professional boundaries while fostering authentic connections. We must become intimate observers of our own internal landscape, recognizing our biases, examining our judgments, and consistently engaging in self-reflection.
I've found that when we clear our own emotional space—when we show up without agenda or attachment—we create an energetically clean canvas for our clients. Within this sacred space, they can reimagine their lives, capabilities, and future with unprecedented clarity.
The privilege of coaching lies not in having all the answers, but in creating an environment where clients can discover their own wisdom. Each time a client experiences a moment of insight or steps into a more empowered version of themselves, I'm reminded of the profound meaning of this work.
To my fellow coaches, your commitment to presence is a gift that extends far beyond the coaching session. When you show up wholeheartedly, blending professional wisdom with genuine humanity, you're not merely facilitating change; you're participating in the profound honor of witnessing another human being step into their full potential.
This is the art and heart of coaching!
